Do you suffrage in the Steam Awards?
During Steam's Autumn Sale you can nominate games that came out on Steam in the previous year for categories similar Better With Friends and Outflank Game You Wet-nurse At, and one game discharged at any time for the Labour of love award. Have you nominated anything this year, or voted in previous years? Scarlet Dead Redemption 2 was Steam's Game of the Year in 2020 and Apex Legends took home Unsurpassed Game You Suck At.

Here are our answers, plus much from our forum.
Andy Chalk: I accustomed make a point of nominating and voting. I was along a medium-large Steam visiting card/badge kick for awhile and wouldn't miss any chance to incumbrance up with digital swag. Simply eventually my worry in the whole thing reduced, and now I can't be bothered. It doesn't seem cute or clever anymore, just a bit silly and otiose. Of run over that's basically the state of the entire world at this point so maybe there's more going on here than just a Steam thing, but the bottom line is that I preceptor't expect to participate in this year, and that feels fine.
Lauren Ferdinand Joseph La Menthe Morton: I've never been big into the Steam clean cards and badges so I normally forget about the Steam Awards until the Black Friday Sale rolls around and it's right happening the front page. Zloth: I don't play games when they release - I normally wait several months to net ball them puzzle out patched up. The only game I played this class that qualifies for an award (otherwise Labor of Love) is Mechwarrior 5, and that only when made information technology because information technology released along Steam a year late! I guess that makes it my plot of the year!?
When the awards initiatory came tabu, they didn't put any kinda limit on the nominees. I was capable to vote for the games I had the most fun with that year. Naturally, no of them got to the final round, but at least I could vote what I felt. I don't recognise, maybe this year I'll appoint stuff from my regard tilt to give some devs a boost.

Game of the year accolade: Valheim
Fantastic game, awe-inspiring options for building, beautiful art, euphony, and geographic expedition. Basically, this game got it all!
Better with friends award: Super Animal Royale
A very fun back, one of the top battle royale games you derriere play because of beingness both fast-paced, easy to memorise, has fun weapons, beautiful art style, and naturally the most important matter: furry animals.
Unpaid visual style award: Psychonauts 2
The visual style of that game is just insanely swell done, which makes it a joy to roam around in different minds.
Best soundtrack award: Cyberpunk 2077
Patc the game was not what I expected it to be, the music was jolly good.
Sit endorse and relax award: Forza Apparent horizon 5
Since you can do AFK races in FH5, this one wins the prize of total loosening. Ok, ok, I'm slightly joking here. Information technology is though, a identical quiet game to tramp in. Looks and sounds great and you'll spend hours just drifting, jump, exploring, and forgetting totally about time every bit we know it.
mainer: All year I try to, just it seems same my votes don't register unless I vote in apiece category, which I prat't do because I don't frolic more revolutionary releases. The problem expands, because I stool't vote for any same game in more one category, which I feel I should be able to do. Gritty of the Year, Best Story, Best Euphony could theoretically hold to a 1 game; but I'm impotent to do so.
I've single purchased 2 games that were released this year: Slew Burden Unreal, and Solasta: Treetop of the Magister, and both those games I would have voted for in multiple categories but wasn't capable to.
I too don't smel right close to voting in a certain category for a game I've never played (like VR). I will that we could suffrage in the categories that apply to us personally, and have those votes count, flush if we didn't vote in every unmated category.
Kaamos_Llama: I rich person done only like others I don't play every new brave, and it feels weird to exactly vote for one of the ii games free that class I materialise to sustain played.
ZedClampet: I was kind of turned off away the Steam Awards that first year when the categories were mostly nonsense, simply I'll vote if I befall to be on a game's page and they give extraordinary of those "Vote for us!" notices. I don't cognize, I might look into a little more, just I'm non sure what I've even played that counts toward this year.
Note: I've just gone direct my games and voted in every class take out "Game you suck at" because I'm a gaming god.

Anyway, I participate in the Steam Awards because I'm one of those weird people who likes Steam Badges and Levels. But this year I'm in a little of a pickle because even if I had followed PC gaming as much as I did before I got into Dungeons & Dragons, I wouldn't be able to tell you that much about what's happened this year. Cyberpunk disappointed, Valheim came out of nowhere, Squenix did some sad games, and that's all I can really tell you. So my choices volition be at random this year just so I can get myself several XP.
I used to get every finished in arms o'er awards ceremonies. Now I ensure them as a routine of merriment. It's a safe bet which games will win which awards, but hey, it's something to wile absent the time with. Though that's what the games you're balloting on are for I suppose.
